I'm glad I didn't follow the surgeon's advice!

I was told I had a bulging disc in September 2008. It turned out that I had this problem for 4 months without really knowing it. The spine specialist treated all of my nerve pains and muscle spasms with multiple drugs, and then more drugs for the other drugs side effects. I received injections, went to physical therapy, missed a lot of work and lied in bed 90% of the day for 3 months. It was while lying in bed that I saw a decompression infomercial. I immediately called the number and saw Dr. Meadows the same day. I started treatment that day, and now, 2 ½ months later I am pain free. The spine specialist I was previously seeing didn’t approve of this treatment plan. His recommendation was surgery, which he himself only gave a 30% chance of success. He said I would not be able to “rebuild” the area. I’m very pleased I didn’t follow his advice. I also wrote a letter to my insurance provider who covered 100% of the “specialist” recommendations and told them how this treatment saved them and my employer thousands of dollars. I’ll be back on my bike this weekend!
